Interview with Lady Parasyte

LadyParasyte was born in Kankakee, Illinois. At a very young age she moved to the city of Chicago where she spent most of her educational years at various Catholic Schools, often being labeled the “weird girl” due to her array of hair colors, eccentric makeup, spiky knee-high boots and fishnets augmenting her Catholic schoolgirl skirt. She then grew up, as most humans do, and went on to study Live Sound Reinforcement at the Music Industry Workshop which inspired her to pursue her own musical endeavors.

Interview with Otep

Last month, I had the privelege of speaking with singer/poet and artist Otep, on the phone. She's a woman with something to say, and believe me, she knows how to say it. Otep is no minor leaguer, as she delved with well researched knowledge into religion, politics and history. And her music is pretty cool too . . .

Interview with The Creepshow

The Creepshow is  a Canadian rock band that specializes in psychobilly music. Their style of music is a cross between punk rock and rockabilly with a nice groove that will have your foot tapping to the beat while sending shivers up and down your spine. Their songs are both melodic and harmonic and invite the listener to sing along. The band lineup includes Sarah "Sin" Blackwood on lead vocals and guitar, Sean "Sickboy" McNab on upright bass and backup vocals, The Reverend McGinty on keyboards and backup vocals, and Matt "Pomade" Gee on drums.

Lady Parasyte Interview Revisited

Lady Parasyte has gone through some changes since the last time she graced the pages of Macabre Cadaver. Not only has she added new members to the band (Mark Black, guitarist/programmer, and Miss Angela S., vocals), she has also been signed to machineKUNT Records. Her new album, Abandoned Places, is due out in late 2010. We have once again had the chance to chat with LP.

1. We see that Lady Parasyte has gone through some changes since the last time we spoke.....

Lady Parasyte- Definitely. Since the last time we spoke there has been a major change in the bands lineup and sound. We have also since signed with the indie label Machinekunt Records. We’ve also somewhat changed the look and feel of the band with our website and photos. Most importantly we are working on our first full length album “Abandoned Places”.
