Shane Ryan is a self taught dark horror artist's who has been creating imagery from the darker side of the art world ever since he was old enough to pick up a pencil and put it to paper, having drawn horror art even before being introduced to the world of horror it would seem that Shane's love for horror was as natural as his artistic talent.

He enjoys creating macabre works with an infinitely intricate level of detail, the more someone looks into one of Shane's pieces the more of the inside of his twisted imagination is revealed resulting in a shock value that kind of creeps up on you rather then showing all it's horror from the first glance, which he adds" the effect on the viewers emotions seems to be more powerful that way, and to me that's what art especially horror art is all about"

Since embarking on the quest to bring his works to a larger audience in early 2008 Shane has continued to gather a wide audience and fan base, he has a growing group of avid collectors of his work in all corners of the globe, was selected for and contributed to international exhibitions such as DAMNED II and Midnight Oils:The Devil's In The Details, won a open fantasy art competition, had his work published by several genre magazines and websites and is now working on getting into the films industry as a production artist with several possible opportunities lurking on the horizon, both in his home land of Australia and abroad.

Shane's preferred mediums are pencil and fine ink, but he has also been working with other mediums such as oils and airbrushing which he will be releasing in the form of limited edition prints over the next few months, also he is also available for commissions, he enjoys and looks forward to bringing peoples horrible thoughts out of there heads and turning them into a visual reality, if you have a need for free lance horror art give him a yell ...
